What Is Slezská lilie?
Slezská Lilie Festival, as the international festival of contemporary Christian music, presents a neglected phenomenon of contemporary authorial Christian music along with a peaceful atmosphere of Christian togetherness. The festival takes place in Ostrava-Kunčičky, a part of the town marked by heavy industry until these days. Other parts of the programme are held in the middle of the modern shopping mall, and in churches throughout the city. Sunday as a day of evangelization became an inseparable part of the festival.
Festival focuses on rhythmic contemporary music of both well-known and less well-known Czech and foreign bands and church choirs across the whole variety of styles and genres. The aim of Slezská Lilie Festival is, first and foremost, to break down barriers between Christians and the public. The barriers are those created by the pressure of media, the shortage of information, but mainly by the shortage of time spent together.

I křesťanská hudba oslovuje posluchače
V dnešní době se často diskutuje nad kvalitou křesťanské hudby a jejím uplatnění mimo křesťanské festivaly. Festival Slezská lilie, ukázal, že lze vhodně prokombinovat populární interprety a méně známé křesťanské kapely.
Mnoho překvapení na festivalu Slezská lilie
Krásné počasí, skvělí interpreti a hlavně dobrá nálada provázela festival Slezská lilie. Festival se uskutečnil 15. – 16. 6. 2013 v Ostravě-Kunčičkách. Program byl rozdělen do dvou dnů. V sobotu byl v odpoledních hodinách program zahájen vystoupením dětského folklórního souboru z Polské republiky.
Iva Bittová and the Čikori band Are Coming to Ostrava
Together with the Čikori band, the queen of the Czech avant-garde, Iva Bittová, is singing in Ostrava. She is performing within the international festival Slezská Lilie, which is held on 15 and 16 June.

Father Vojtěch Kodet in Ostrava: “Day of Angels” at the Slezská Lilie Festival
Father Vojtěch Kodet is coming at the international festival of contemporary Christian music, Slezská Lilie. He is leading the “Day of Angels” on Sunday with the accompaniment of the KaPři group, who shined at the national gathering of young Christians in Žďár nad Sázavou in 2012.
